Candidate Statement

I will support every effort to ensure that all Pacifica students have the academic skills they need to succeed in the workplace, the artistic and cultural skills they need to be well-rounded people, and the social and ethical skills they need to be our future leaders.

At De Anza College, where I chair the Philosophy department, I have worked hard to make the college's curriculum more culturally sensitive, to help all students excel, to make our campus greener, and to prepare our students to be responsible citizens. I worked on strategic planning there and at Ocean Shore.

This experience will help me serve our community. Much can be done without spending extra money, and some changes, like adding energy efficiency can save money.

I look forward to serving you on the School Board so together we can safeguard strengthen the educational excellence of our district. I ask for your vote.
