This information is provided by the candidate
1. Alon Perlman has received the endorsement of the Santa Lucia Chapter of the Sierra Club for the 2008 Election (See response to Candidate Questionnaire).
2. To whom it may concern, 10/1/2008
- I endorse Alon Perlman for the Los Osos CSD. He would make an excellent director. He regularly attends and speaks at CSD meetings, serves on CSD advisory committees and for 2.5 years he has represented the community as a member of LOCAC. When I was chairman of the Land Use Committee, I found Alon to be a very helpful committee member. Alon has a clear picture of how the CSD needs to run the enterprise funds and supports an affordable sustainable wastewater treatment plant. He supports the current contract with CAL FIRE and commends them on a job well done.
Sincerely,
Fred Dellagatta
3. Dawn Feuerberg of Concerned Citizens of Morro Bay Water Quality -Acknowledgment of support.
- This Acknowledgment of my support was due to advice and public speaking given before the Morro Bay City Council, during a crisis in which Morro Bay secondary drinking supplies (wells, primary supply is State Water) had a nitrate spike in late '06. I attended the Morro Bay Council meetings because, in an earlier meeting before the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, I predicted that Morro Bay wells could have high nitrates, although the town has been on a conventional sewer for many years. During the meetings in Morro Bay, in addition to other testimony, I suggested to the Council that they could not rely on the Annual scheduled (November) maintenance stoppage of the State water supply, as the only time their wells would be needed. Some time later the Shad population in the Sacramento delta crashed, disrupting State Water supplies.
