Russian Hill resident Lynn Jefferson is the Planning and Zoning Chair and immediate-past President of North Beach Neighbors. With a goal of increasing membership and giving the organization a greater voice at City Hall, under Lynn's leadership, North Beach Neighbors has grown tremendously with residents and small business owners engaged in preserving the unique character of North Beach, enhancing local parks, organizing neighborhood beautification projects and resolving neighborhood disputes. Lynn has logged hundreds of hours advocating for North Beach residents and merchants before the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Lynn is also active in Russian Hill Neighbors and their committee to "Green the Broadway Tunnel." Lynn is a Board Member of the North Beach Chamber of Commerce and is the Membership Chair of Friends of 91.7 KALW (SF Unified School District's radio station). She is a Team Leader for Project Homeless Connect and a volunteer for the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center. Lynn recently completed a three-year term as a Board Member for the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation. Prior to moving to San Francisco in 1993, Lynn had a successful career in New York City as an account executive in the clothing industry and in retail management for a major department store. Lynn studied Mass Communications at Emerson College. She lives with her husband, Ian on Russian Hill. |
