As a former criminal prosecutor with the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, I know that our criminal justice agencies can work more effectively, individually and collectively. As a Judge Arbitrator for the Polk Street Community Court, I value the importance of genuine partnerships between our residents and our local police officers.
My leadership experiences with Lower Polk Neighbors and the Middle Polk Neighborhood Association, which have worked well with police officers to address neighborhood crime, convinces me that we need to immediately implement community policing techniques in every District 3 neighborhood.
