My Promise to YouBy Sandra NicholsCandidate for Trustee; Pajaro Valley Unified School District; Trustee Area 6 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Every decision I make will be in the best interest of the students. With eight years as trustee and 30 years teaching in California schools, my experience and dedication are well established. Let's face our challenges together! We must resolve the budget crisis by making good decisions. As President, I successfully led a united board through our previous budget crisis. I will continue to fight excessive administrative costs and focus resources where they belong -- in our classrooms! We can achieve academic success by recognizing the professionalism of our teachers and supporting their work. The new EL Master Plan, which I helped create, represents a giant step forward for English Learners. From at-risk to gifted, all students deserve inspiring programs. Expanded libraries, music, art, science and technology programs are critical for student success. As a professional, full-time educator, I am dedicated to high standards, real educational alternatives, and equal opportunity for every student. I believe in the strength diversity brings and the importance of teaching tolerance. These are your schools and your tax dollars. Your concerns are important to me. My promise to you stands: "I will make every decision for the good of the students." With your support, we will prepare our students for The Success They Deserve. ReElect Sandra Nichols |
