Summary of the Challenges
I am Jerry (Doug) Taylor and I am running for City Council of the City Ridgecrest in November of 2008. I would appreciate your vote so I can serve the citizens of Ridgecrest for the next 4 years to continue to make Ridgecrest a great place to live.

We need to:

Maintain Police Protection
Improve the Roads (SUPPORT Measure N)
Improve Flood Control
Maintain / Improve Recreation Programs and Facilities
Implement the New General Plan for Smart Growth
While Maintaining a Balanced Budget

This will be a major challenge the next few years because the state can't keep a balanced budget. I am ready to serve to make Ridgecrest a better place to live with my experience as a program manager for NAVAIR as well as a Planning Commissioner for the past 2 years. I have been here for 45 years and plan to be here for many more to make Ridgecrest a GREAT place to live.
