California's drop-out rate is of concern to all of us
With a state wide drop-out rate of 24% and Los Angeles at 33%, we should all be concerned, as these children are more likely to end up in the criminal justice system and in low paying jobs.
There should be a task force created by the Governor with input by Parents, School Boards, Teachers and Administrators to address this problem.
Intervention programs are a high priority. The children who are dropping out need to know that we care about what happens to them.
