- Lifetime resident of Bakersfield with two children who attended Bakersfield City Schools
- Knows, understands and will work to solve the educational concerns of the parents, teachers, students, and members of our community

- Establish an attitude of teamwork and shared responsibility between parents, teachers, administrators, and the Board of Education.
- Ensure that Bond dollars are spent efficiently to build new schools, to modernize present schools and to provide for children's safety at all schools.
- Decrease class size, expand educational opportunities for students, and develop programs to recruit and retain highly qualified teachers.
