Regarding a Supermarket

The City and the Redevelopment Agency are working to make this a reality. In order to make this a reality we must make certain the project will not fail like many other projects of the past, prior to my becoming mayor.

Failure under my administration is no longer an option. We must become a city that finishes projects. As such, we are requiring performance from those that are to build the facility for the store as well as the grocer. In order to get help from the Redevelopment Agency these performance requirements are mandatory under state law.

I believe we will work through these perfromance requirements with the current developer or another developer and we will eventually get our supermarket.
