Community Involvement in our Water Future
The next step in the planning process for your Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District is to ask members of our community to serve on a task force charged with making recommendations to the board. This task force will be composed of a representative body of stakeholders that will look at the challenges I listed-- and others that they may find. Included on this task force will be business people, scientists, planners, tribal members, environmentalists, real estate interests, labor unions and others. The task force will be charged with reaching our to their constituents for input--but in the end must make recommendations that represent the best interests of our entire community.

Most of my experience as well as academic training has been in leadership and management. I am skilled in working with groups, creating teams and working toward a common goal. This experience will be valuable as we plan and manage our water district.
