On the point of amicable relations on county Democratic Central Committees (DCCs), I have offered my services in the organization of those who are psychologists, lawyers, and other professionals on the California Democratic State Central Committee to offer mediation services to county DCCs. In my observation of several California DCCs, disagreements among members, often trivial, have the effect of minimizing the functionality of them. Those behavioral and legal professionals on the California DSCC would likely donate their time and services to help DCCs minimize their in-house disputes, so that minor disputes would not escalate over generations of members into major feuds that suck the energy out of a DCC. This pro bono service would be a lot better than the alternative: believing that the "grassroots" can "work it out."
