Why I am runningBy Bruce KeelerCandidate for Delegate; Republican National Party Convention; Congressional District 9 | |

Brief overview of why I am running for delegate to the Republican National ConventionOn April 22nd, Pennsylvania Republicans will elect delegates to the Republican National Convention. My name is Bruce Keeler and like many voters, I'm concerned about the direction of our country and of the Republican party. While the Democrats move closer and closer towards socialism, the Republican Party continues to drift from the traditional values that made our party and our country strong. I'm running as a delegate because I'm tired of watching our party become Republican in name only. In many ways our country is headed in the wrong direction, and it's not just because of the Democrats. Many of our elected Republicans are just as guilty as Democrats of abandoning principle in favor of expediency, and of putting political power above doing what is right. I'm running as a delegate because it's time for this to change. I'm not a career politician or party insider. I am a concerned citizen who has had enough. I want to be a strong advocate for life, liberty, property, family, faith, and freedom. For the Republican party to stand firm on its historic core principles, it needs people who are committed to standing up for what is right at the convention. I'm running because I am willing to stand up and fight for what is right. Our Republican candidates need to both talk the talk and walk the walk. Republicans need to stop imitating Democrats. It's no wonder that so many Republicans lost in the 2006 elections. What is a wonder is that so many of our party leaders continue to follow the Democrats down the same big government path. That path is littered with over-spending, over-taxing, and over-regulation. So what can one person do? What can I do? By myself + not much. But with your help, I can be elected as a delegate to the Republican Convention. Along with other committed conservative delegates, we can make sure that the Republican platform stands firm + in defense of the unborn, in defense of our country, in defense of liberty, property, family, faith, and freedom. Also, while John McCain will heading the Republican ticket this November, the delegates will determine his Vice Presidential running mate. If you live in the 9th Congressional District, you will find my name (Bruce Keeler) first on your ballot for delegate when you vote on April 22nd. Of the fourteen people running for delegate, four will be elected. I'm running because our party needs a strong and faithful advocate to do what is right. If you are concerned about the direction of our party and our country, then I need your help. This district is very large and covers all or parts of fifteen counties in central and western Pennsylvania. If you know someone who lives in this area, please forward this to them.
