Overwhelming odds against us have been beaten at this stage and our exit will remain open, but challenges face us.
Highway builders of the state ODOT did not want Wyoming to keep our easy access to I-75 at Galbraith. I helped lead a team that collectively won a major upset victory. At this stage of the complex design decisions, we will retain our access, but the threatened closure may reappear in later stages of decisions. As Wyoming trustee for OKI I have worked behind the scenes with federal, state and regional decision makers to accomplish our goal. This cooperative and savvy leadership must be sustained in 2008-10 as further funding decisions are made. My years of intergovernmental work and experience with federal/state relations will continue to be used for the benefit of our community and its many users of I-75.
