A Message to the People of ArdsleyBy Jonathan B. LevineCandidate for Mayor; Village of Ardsley | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Dear Neighbors, My name is Jonathan Levine and I am running for Mayor of Ardsley. I have lived in our community for more than twenty years and love our village. Our can-do attitude and friendly atmosphere make Ardsley a joy to live in. Ardsley is one of the safest and most beautiful villages in the Hudson Valley. We are actively creating a stable foundation for our children and community. One need only look to our ample park and recreation space to understand the importance we place on our open spaces. I will continue our environmental commitment by greening our village owned properties and putting policies in place that make our public buildings more environmentally friendly. The financial costs of living in our village are becoming too high. Soaring property taxes risk undermining some of the greatest aspects of our community. I want my children to one day be able to afford a first home here. When I am Mayor, I will work to lower the property taxes which make Ardsley so prohibitive for first time buyers. Together we can create an affordable future. We must also create a solution to the traffic problem in Ardsley. Every year it gets harder to navigate around our village. This is because of the Saw Mill River Road. It is a state road and our public officials in the past have always shied away from dealing with the problem. When I am Mayor, I will get funding from the state and fix our traffic problems. Ardsley deserves a solution. I am running for Mayor of Ardsley because I want to serve our community. I know how to do it. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at LevineMayor@gmail.com Most sincerely, Jonathan Levine |
