I am presently a Yonkers City Court Judge and have presided over criminal, landlord-tenant, small claims and traffic cases. I believe that my service as a criminal prosecutor has prepared me to be a Yonkers City Court Judge because of the vast number of criminal cases that the City Court, in the fourth largest city in New York, handles on a day to day basis. My experience in prosecuting burglaries, robberies, drug crimes,sexual assaults and gun crimes, gives me the familiarity with the penal law and criminal procedure to be an effective City Court Judge. In addition, my experience working in dispute resolution for AIG has given me great insight into how to resolve complicated matters between parties, which is crucial in order to be an effective judge on the civil side of the City Court which deals with small claims, landlord-tenant and other areas of civil litigation.
I have been living in Park Hill for 26 years. I have been married to George Graffeo for 32 years. We have two sons, Michael and Brian and two daughter-in-laws, Laura and Loren. Michael and Brian were raised in Yonkers and attended the Yonkers Public Schools from elementary through high school.
