Candidate for
Board Member; Montara Water and Sanitary District

I have lived in Montara for 28 years. My husband and I raised our children to adulthood in the house we built here. I intend to retire and grow old in our community.

I have served on the Montara Water and Sanitary District Board for 12 years. In that 12 years I have worked to establish relationships that will help our district. Our district makes the most progress when we work closely with others in our community and government.

I have strong relationships with others who also represent us in other elected offices: CA Senator Leland Yee, Assemblyman Gene Mullin, Supervisors Mark Church, Richard Gordon, Jerry Hill, Rose jacobs-Gibson and Adrienne Tissier as well as with elected members of local boards.

I have also created solid, working relationships with staff members at the Coastal Commission, CA Regional Water Quality Control Board, Resource Conservation District, Coastside Fire Protection District, and San Mateo County among others.

I am President of the San Mateo County Special District Association as well as having a seat on the Membership Committee of the California Special District Association. In that regard I am privileged to learn more about what other districts are doing to meet regulatory requirements while improving services for their communities.
