i, Grasshopper Alec Kaplan, was born in Moscow, Russia in 1970. English is my 3rd but only language after Russian and French, neither of which i've retained; now I only speak English.

I grew up around New York with 8 or 9 sets of foster parents of various description. I have allways loved to play music- guitar has been my primary songwriting tool for years; also I love to play bass guitar, piano, and whenever I can, go swim in the Bay; this is just fabulous.

I want to make San Francisco a city where people can live. I want to make it legal to live in commercial spaces, and give people eviction protection. There are tons of vacacnt commercial spaces all around the city- let's make it legal for people to actually LIVE here. Also, let's fully legalize cannabis with a greens for peace program, collecting taxes to fund roads, parks, schools, homes, and hospitals, but not jails nor wars; greens for peace!

Let's have total amnesty for undocumented people. Let's legalize prostitution and sex work, encouraging safe practices. Let's restore the greatness to our town.
