1. What are your thoughts on land use and development for vacant land in Newark, especially in Areas 3 and 4?
I'd like Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Strategies to be incorporated into the Land Use Plan for Areas 3 and 4. TOD brings more retail, jobs, and easy to use streets and sidewalks. With more residents living and working in these areas, it will be a more vibrant and inviting place. Public transit will be a better alternative and it will provide daily transportation needs. Ensuring we also have Open Space and Wetland Protection is also an important component of my Plan.
Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League. Candidates' answers are presented as submitted.Read the answers from all candidates (who have responded).
