Candidate for
Council Member; City of Newark

Bernie Nillo has been a City of Newark resident for 38 years, married for 22 years and the father of two. As a Newark City Council member, he would help continue working together with the community of Newark, to become a premier choice as a place in which to live, work, and visit.

Mr. Nillo served on the Newark Soccer Club's - Board of Directors for over 5 years. Mr. Nillo has been a youth soccer, baseball and football coach, team manager for over 15 years, combined. He currently coaching the Fremont Football League - Giants

Mr. Nillo has participated in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training walkers program and been a Newark CERT volunteer since 2006. Mr. Nillo has a MBA degree and B.S. degree in Business Management.

Mr. Nillo believes in maintaining and equipping our police force and fire department at a level to provide the greatest protection for our residents.

He believes in working with businesses to grow and bring jobs to Newark to increase our sales tax base.
