1. Each candidate was asked to make a statement addressing what makes him/her the best candidate for this office. (30 words or less)

Answer from Rory J. Bellantoni:

As an Acting Supreme Court Justice, County Court Judge and Acting Family Court Judge, I have acquired the judicial experience and qualifications necessary to be a Supreme Court Justice.

Answer from Joseph Cerreto:

With 31 years of legal experience, I have extensive knowledge of all legal issues. I am very sensitive to the needs of litigants and jurors and strive to minimize inconvenience.

Answer from Sam D. Walker:

Came up the old fashioned way. Mt. Vernon judge (12 years; Family Court Judge (2 years); County Court Judge (2 years) and currently, Acting Supreme Court Justice; Integrated Domestic Violence Court.

Answer from Alan D. Scheinkman:

With 30 years of experience, I have taught judges, written extensively, cited commentaries, served the public and have the skills and interest to fairly resolve the legal problems of others
