- First, Do No Harm!
-
I've seen what's been done in California and other states and I won't make the same mistakes.
- Reform the Conservation and Liquidation Office
-
The California State Auditor says that the Conservation and Liquidation Office has done an abysmal job in its single task of managing failed insurance companies. I have done this several times and know how to fix the problems.
- Reduce Administrative Bloat to save $100 million
-
The Insurance Department budget has increased from $28 million in 1988 to about $150 million today. I can reduce that by at least $100 million without reducing the effectiveness of the Insurance Department
