Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Daly City

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you why I am working so hard to represent you on the City Council.

I grew up in the Skyline Plaza neighborhood and graduated from Westmoor High School and Skyline College.

My brother owns Masters Autobody on Mission Street and at any time you may see the whole family working at the shop.

People are always asking me, "Is Hipona a Filipino name?" Yes, it is. I am German, my husband of 25 years, Alfonso, is Filipino and Mexican,and our three children are a beautiful combination.

We live in Original Daly City, not far from the BART Station. Alfonso has worked for many years as a supervisor/lead mechanic at Westlake Village Apartments.

I've been a community activist for the past twenty years. I am known for speaking out at City Hall for our neighborhoods and for open and honest government.

I've been president of my neighborhood association for six years and now serve as an elected member of the elementary school board.
