High quality public education is essential to a healthy society. The time we spend with our children when they are young benefits everyone in the long run. Families are the most important influence in children's lives, and schools are the second most important.

We must make sure that school boards in California remain nonpartisan. As a board member I have worked effectively with people of various political views. All of the board members I have served with in Lemon Grove are strong supporters of public education.
