For the past 19 years, my community has supported me as a resident and a business owner. During that time, Cathedral City has likewise grown both residentially and commercially. We are no longer that "small, bedroom community" next to Palm Springs, but rather, the home for 53,000 residents and a commerce center for millions of dollars of business each year. Our community services are being challenged by increasing traffic, crime and programs and facilities that serve our youth. The city's general fund can no longer meet the demands being placed upon it. Tax dollars are being stretched beyond reason in an attempt to answer the most basic needs of Cathedral City's residents and businesses. These are times that call for level-headed handling of our current financial resources and business-like planning to meet future challenges. As one of the city's planning commissioners and a successful businessman and communicator, I offer my fellow citizens selfless and knowledgable leadership, a program of business revitalization, a dedication to enhance programs and facilities for our youth and senior citizens and confidence in our ability to overcome today's challenges to developing a new and lasting pride for living and working in Cathedral City.
