Hayden Zacky is a Los Angeles native dedicated to making our streets safer.

Born at UCLA Medical Center and was raised in North Hollywood and Van Nuys, Hayden Zacky is the product of the public school system: Saticoy and Kittridge Elementary Schools, Madison Junior High School, Grant High School and the University of California at San Diego. Zacky spent two years working at a computer consulting firm before entering Southwestern University School of Law. During law school, he clerked for several civil defense law firms, and had a judicial externship with Judge Arthur Alarcón of the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit. He graduated from law school in 1992.

Zacky's first job as an attorney was with the firm of Staitman, Snyder & Tannanbaum which specialized in insurance bad faith litigation and other insurance defense matters. After two years of civil litigation Hayden decided to enter public service.

During his more than 11 years as a prosecutor, Hayden has served in many locations:

  • Rio Hondo Courthouse (El Monte)
  • Pasadena Juvenile
  • Beverly Hills Courthouse
  • Central Trials (Criminal Courts Building, Downtown Los Angeles)
  • Pasadena Hardcore Gang
  • Central Hardcore Gang
  • San Fernando Hardcore Gang
  • Antelope Valley Courthouse

In Pasadena, Zacky worked in the Juvenile Office where he handled juvenile adjudications and fitness hearings. Hayden was then assigned to the elite Hardcore Gang division, where he served as part of the Pasadena Heightened Enforcement and Targeting (H.E.A.T.) gang task force which included members of the Pasadena Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Hayden, as the representative of the District Attorney's Office.

Zacky was then transferred to the Central Branch of the Hardcore Gang division where he was responsible for prosecuting the most violent crimes, primarily murder. He now prosecutes violent gang crimes in the Antelope Valley.

Zacky is now ready to take on the next challenge and further his commitment to public service by bringing his enthusiasm for justice, law and basic fairness to the bench. As a judge, Zacky promises to "fairly preside over all matters before me so that all who enter the court may leave feeling that they have had their voices heard."
