David W. Stuart graduated with honors from California State University, Northridge, and then attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. At Loyola, David served as the Executive Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Journal and was named the Best Oralist in the prestigious Scott Moot Court Competition. David graduated with honors and was named to the Order of the Coif. After law school, David accepted a one-year clerkship in federal court with the Hon. Manuel L. Real, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. After working as an associate at a downtown Los Angeles law firm, David was appointed in 1995 as a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney and began prosecuting criminal cases in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Since then, David has tried more than seventy-five jury trials to verdict. His trials have involved a wide variety of criminal charges including murder, robbery and gang violence. David has also specialized in cases involving domestic violence, sex crimes and child abuse and has been specially trained in the district attorney's Victim Impact Program. David also currently serves as a Judge Pro Tem in Ventura County Superior Court. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
