As an accountant and small business owner, I have a strong financial analysis background and can bring auditing skills to the school board. I own several properties in the Rosedale school district, so I will be making decisions as a property owner as well as a parent. I have vast experience in controlling and managing budgets with the various businesses I work for as well as own. I deal with assessing needs versus wants on a daily basis. I have the ability to weigh financial impacts on future expansions as our district enrollment continues to grow. I believe in financial efficiency. My wife is a veteran 10 year teacher so I also understand the work and support our teachers need from our school board in their efforts to provide the best possible education for our children. As a member of the school board, I will keep a balance of financial responsibility and educational responsibility in my decision making process. I believe it is the school board's responsibility to consider what is best for our student as well as the community. |
