1. QUALITY OF EDUCATION

- Actively solicit parent and student input
- Analyze test scores & identify potential issues
- Expand staff time devoted to curriculum
2. STRONG FISCAL MANAGEMENT
- Establish sustainable budget model
- Develop long-term financial plan & goals
- Control costs while maintaining program quality
- Build balance of reserve for uncertainties
- Avoid cuts in program and staff
- Minimize future parcel tax increases
3. SEISMIC RISK REDUCTION
- Establish comprehensive decision process
- Perform detailed engineering study or review
- Analyze and communicate relative seismic risks
- Establish short-term plan to mitigate risk
- Solicit extensive parent and community input
- Perform cost/benefit analysis on rebuild options
- Work closely with City on facility planning
- Develop master plan with long term vision
- Obtain competitive bids for major projects
