The questions were prepared by the LWV Cincinnati Area and asked of all candidates for this office.
Read the answers from all candidates (who have responded).
1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)
With over 15 years of trial experience in municipal, state and federal courts while working for some of Cincinnati's largest law firms and corporations, as well as the Public Defenders Office, has exposed me to all aspects of the law, giving me a unique perspective for the application of the law in a fair and balanced manner.
2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)
As Judge it is imperative that I protect the rights and liberties of all citizens by not allowing for any predisposition that would taint the legal proceedings and cause harm to the defendant or plaintiff. Fairness in our courts begins with the belief that everyone is innocent until proven guilty of allegations that brought them into my courtroom. Treating everyone with dignity and respect is vital to the court's appearance that everyone is getting a fair and equitable hearing. As Judge it is my responsibility to try and rehabilitate a first-time offender or incarcerate the multiple offender. Whichever, it is imperative for our justice system to protect our neighborhoods and communities.
