Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Bonita Unified School District

I believe we must continue to build the trust between Employee Groups, Administration, Parents and the School Board. Great things happen at the schools in San Dimas and La Verne. We must continue to work together to give our students the best education possible.

Recent test scores rank all schools in our district as high achieving schools, with Bonita and San Dimas High Schools being California Distinguished Schools and Chaparral a Model Continuation High School. I am committed to only hiring fully qualified teachers for our district. The 2005-06 school year will begin with no teachers on an emergency credential

I will continue to make wise spending decisions. I believe it is irresponsible to spend one-time funds for on-going projects. We must treat our employees fairly, balancing their requests with the needs of each school site and each student.

All children can learn but not all children learn at the same rate or in the same manner. Programs need to be kept in place to help our students achieve to their highest potential. Our graduates must have the backing they need to either attend college or enter the work-force ready to be productive.
