Every child deserves a great education. Every community needs good schools. That is why I am running for school board. My name is Ronald Gonzales-Lawrence. I grew up here, and I feel fortunate to call this community my home. I attended good schools in Norwalk and Santa Fe Springs. They put me on the path to college and helped prepare me for career, community and life. I know what a great education looks like. A great education includes smart, caring teachers and principals who know their students, and who work closely with teachers and community. A great education becomes a reality when parents are involved and communities support their local schools. I want the same for students in Little Lake schools. Before I share with you what I hope to achieve as your next school board member, I think it is important that to tell you what I believe.
1. Teachers teach best when they have no more than 20 students in their classroom. My number one priority will be the preparation of our children to excel in high school and beyond. Below are a few of my ideas to give our children a great education.
1. Create the Little Lake City School District Foundation to raise private dollars for books, computers and other needs. Little Lake schools offer a great education. We have committed teachers, principals and school staff. Together, I believe we can make our schools even better. I respectfully ask for your vote on November 8. Ronald Gonzales-Lawrence |
