A strong history and commitment to the Whitter area schoolsA PRODUCT OF THE LOCAL SCHOOLS Efrain is a life long resident of Whittier who attended the schools in the Whittier City School District. He has a vested interest in making sure that the students now attending the same classrooms he attended as a child are prepared to meet the challenges of our ever changing economy. VALUE EDUCATION Efrain and Yvonne first dated while still in high school. After they married, they decided that they wanted to raise their children in the same community they grew up in. They have a two year old daughter, Sophia, and are expecting a son, Matthew, in February of 2006. Both raised by working class families and college graduates themselves, Efrain and Yvonne understand the importance of a good education early in life; their achievements are a testament to how a good education can change a life. SAFER SCHOOLS Efrain's law enforcement background will ensure that our children are safe at school. Efrain began his law enforcement career as a Federal Probation Officer. Since graduating from the UCLA School of Law in 1997, Efrain has been fighting crime in our local neighborhoods by working as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. |
