Position Papers
Public Transportation
Public transportation improvements are necessary. They are needed to reduce freeway traffic and congestion. First we must expand bus service. Next is to expand lighr and heavy rail service. More freeways and toll roads will not solve our traffic problems.
I support small businesses
Small businesses are the engines that drive increasing employment. The first need of small businesses is access to capital. As an assemblyperson, I would see to it that small businesses have such access.
An energy policy based on efficiency and the use of renewables
I support an energy policy that stresses efficiency and the use of renewable resources such as solar and wind. We must continue to insist that auto makers provide fuel efficient and pollution-free cars. Our recent energy crisis requires reregulating our power generation industry.
