1. What does California need to do to address the current budget crisis?

Answer from Bryan Justin Marks:

We all must tighten our belts, but I beleive the lower and middle class are being forced to absorb too many of the cuts. We must not cut educational spending. We need to curb excess spending from both parties.

2. What should the state's priorities be for K-12 education? For the Community College System?

Answer from Bryan Justin Marks:

California needs to continue on it's promise to reduce K-12 class sizes, then focus on hiring more credentialed teachers. The Community College should see a much greater share of the education budget. There are 108 Community Colleges which serve the mass in California. We must address cetain testing procedures and ensure our children are graduating high school with the tools they need. We need to stop wasteful spending at the UC and CSU levels.

3. What measures would you support to address California's water needs?

Answer from Bryan Justin Marks:

Water is always a great concern of the valley. I am all for the current measures being sought that would require water meters. I do want to ensure that these meters are accurate and that there are financial meaures in place to make sure price gouging does not occure.

4. What should the Legislature be doing to address the needs of Californians without health insurance?

Answer from Bryan Justin Marks:

This need to become priority number one! No more partisan games. It's time to sit down and work out a plan that enures our citizens have the proper health care they need. There is no excuse why this can't happen. If legislators can be paid $100,000 per year, then we can afford health care!
