COUNCIL SHOULD'NT ALLOW POLITICAL PROMOTIONBy Brahama D. Sharma, Ph.D.Candidate for Mayor; City of Pismo Beach | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
The promotion of personal or citizen political agenda using official City Council time is illegalThe present City Council members who are candidates for the office of Mayor of Pismo Beach in Nov 2 election indulged in promoting themselves and other political agenda using offical time of City Council meeting on September 21, 2004. This is illegal and shows that these candidates are not qualified to be presiding officers, as the present election of the Mayor of Pismo Beach is simply an election of the presiding officer as per the municipal code and nothing else. Video program of the Council meeting of September 21, 2004, proves the same. One can visit the website http://www.timespressrecorder.com/articles/2004/09/24/viewpoint/viewpoint02.prt to show the Letter to the editor, pointing this out, on September 24, 2004 in TIMES PRESS RECORDER The letter is reproduced here as it seems the above website is not accessible by some. _______________________________________________
