We are a community divided; a downtown sewer is the reason. We cannot move forward because of strong opposition and technical flaws - impacts on our community will last for 30+ years to come. We can do better if we work together.

Having studied the details with citizens, the Los Osos Technical Task Force, (my engineering and scientific colleagues) and have tried to reach the LOCSD; we must change course. It won't help to blame - we must solve problems in true democratic fashion. Citizens must be treated respectfully by their government and vice-versa. We cannot be bullied into submission by government officials; it is a participatory process.

I offer an alternative voice to the incumbents and the status quo. I seek consensus in decision-making and support workshops, mediation, and open forums. I will conduct myself in a polite and professional manner. I will listen and respond to my constituents.

My decisions are based on science, facts, fiscal responsibility and listening to what others have to say. When I don't have the facts, I won't move forward until I do.
