Jacquelyn Adams is a graduate of Morris Brown College earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She obtained a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan. Mrs. Adams has worked in public and private industry for 30 years. She has been very active in the district and the community. Mrs. Adams worked as a parent volunteer in the district for several years and was a member of the District Advisory Committee prior to becoming a board member. Mrs. Adams has worked on many important issues during her tenure on the board to include improving student achievement, the establish a district business plan, the passage of a Parcel tax to maintain libraries, visual and performing arts programs, after school sports programs, the passage of a bond measure to improve our school facilities, the approval of class size reduction in k-3rd grades and the adoption of balanced budgets.
Mrs. Adams was appointed to the board in April 1991, elected November 1992 and re-elected in 1996 and 2000. Mrs. Adams has served as board President in 1993, 1998 and 2004. Mrs. Adams believes every child can learn and achieve and every child must be equipped for an ever-changing world.
