INTEGRITY - FAIRNESS - COMMON SENSEBy Joyce J. McIntireCandidate for Council Member; City of Calimesa | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Calimesa deserves a high quality of life, strong economic base, well designed projects and preservation of open space. Your city needs to provide senior and youth services, parks and trail system, improved roads and wildlife corridors. Calimesa has been my home for 42 years. I graduated from Yucaipa High School in 1966, and attended Crafton Hills college. I am employed with the Beaumont Unified School District. I serve with the Forest Service as a volunteer on Trail Patrol in our Local mountains. My daughter attended Yucaipa High School, joined the Air Force and currently works for the Department of Defense. As Mayor Pro-Tem and a Council Council Member I have worked hard to institute a wildlife corridor, preserve open space, including a multi-purpose trail system with staging areas. On behalf of the City, I personally enlisted Senator Battin for help in solving truck problems on the I-10 freeway. I had the city install no dumping signs in Calimesa. As your representative I will continue to work to keep Calimesa safe, fiscally sound, crime free, and preserve and enhance the quality of life. I encourage a friendly downtown with quality businesses. It is my desire to have a city for all residents, young and old, a community of which to be proud of. Please make the right choice on election day; vote for Joyce J. McIntire |
