Parks, Trails, Open Space; The Town Center Specific Plan, The new Library
Dana Point continues to beautiful city property i.e. roadways, trails and parks, and acquire open space as it becomes available. The Open Space addition to Pines Park of a white water view from the sidewalk on Camino Capistrano will now be there forever for citizens and visitors to enjoy. The Town Center Specific Plan is now under way to revitalize the downtown area to be more pedestrian friendly and attractive to local residents and visitors. The new Library is being planned near the site of the existing library and will be a state of the art facility with many new accomodations and features. The city is also seeking grant funding from the State Of California to facilitate construction.
