Candidate for
Board Member; Fountain Valley School District

My husband, Sam, and I are 21 year residents of Fountain Valley and our son, Chris, and daughter, Melissa, attended Fountain Valley schools. I have served on the Fountain Valley School District Board of Trustees for the past eight years, and I am currently serving my second term as board president. For the past 20 years, I have enjoyed being a volunteer within both the Fountain Valley School District and the Huntington Beach Union High School District, in addition to numerous youth and sport organizations. A few of the organizations I have been involved with include: AYSO, Little Miss Softball, Fountain Valley Little League and the FVHS Band Boosters. I am currently serving my twelfth year on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Fountain Valley Educational Foundation. For the past two years, as the first vice president, I have been the Coordinator for its two new major fundraisers,"The Taste of Fountain Valley" and the Fountain Valley School District's "Festival of the Arts". I also represent the Board of Trustees as the liaison to the City of Huntington Beach, the City of Fountain Valley and the Fountain Valley School District's Superintendent Parent Council.
