Political Philosophy for E. M. "Speed" Castillo
Candidate for |
My philosophy of education is that "kids" come first; yours and those in on your neighborhood. I expect administrators teachers, and all other employees to be on task with prescribed curriculum for all students. I have always operated my daily activities and duties with on open door policy. There has never been any one who has not received my i ndividual attention. I will continue to perform thus. Educate our youth - protect our future Priority #1: Maintaining a safe learning and working environment. Priority #2 The second most important priority is employees salaries. Employees need to be adequately compensated for their efforts. I believe that we have excellent teachers and to maintain that level of excellence we must recognize them for what they do. Priority #3: Health benefits rank third on my list of priorities and is part of the total compensation package. It is my belief that adequate health coverage and health maintenance contribute to the overall effectiveness of the. Educational program. Priority #4: Building and maintenance of facilities is my fourth priority not because it is not important, however,I think the previous three are most important. Obviously we need to maintain facilities and i am committed to allocating monies to address this need both long term and short term when appropriate. |
