Amos Young enjoyed a distinguished career with several non-profit and private sector organizations before joining New Gethsemane Church as Church Administrator and Minister. In the early 90's, Amos served briefly as President of Lehigh Elementary School`s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), President of Montclair Citizens for Good Government and President of the NAACP/Pomona Valley Branch while performing his responsibilities as Community Liaison to the City of Pomona for Word Harvest Worship Church of Pomona. At Word Harvest, he supervised the daily operations of the ministry, its' Mark of Excellence Early Childhood Education and Day Care Center and its' George Washington Carver Community Resource & Training Center.

In the private sector, Amos Young served as Regional Sales Manager and State Sales Manager for Snappy Car Rental, Director of Sales and Marketing for Savon Rent a Car and Inland Empire District Sales Manager/District Director for Advantage Rent A Car.

Amos Young is creator of the current Comcast Cablevision Public Access Television Program "Inside the Inland Empire," hosted by Mr. Ed Pruitt, and collaborated with his wife Regina Jordan-Young, in the production of her motivational CD, "How to Handle Your Business By Marketing Yourself," her music/spoken word CD, "Passing the Baton" and produced Regina's cable television talk show pilot, "Successfully Yours'."

As Coordinator of the Pomona Ministry of Economics, Amos Young assists low and moderate-income clientele with "How to start a Small Business" seminars, entry-level business plan writing workshops and Start-up Capital Grants for the development of home-based businesses. Amos Young has served for the last five years as coordinator and Host of the Annual City of Pomona Mayor's Prayer Breakfast.

As Executive Director of Project Impact - Pomona, Amos directs Impact's Pomona Youth Diversion Program in providing dropout prevention services to middle and high school students of the Pomona Unified School District. Long Term Teen Self Sufficiency (youth counseling), Operation Read (tutoring youth on probation) and No Child Left Behind (after school tutoring) are several of the projects Amos has directed.

Amos serves as a staff minister, providing teaching and preaching and counseling services to the membership of New Gethsemane while handling his duties as Church Administrator overseeing office personnel, calendar events, church functions, and maintenance of the Senior Pastor's schedule. He assists in coordinating the activities of seventy-two departments.

Amos represents the ministry as Liaison to the Board of the Pomona Downtown Business District, Camara Comercio Latina del Valle de Pomona, the Arts and Enterprise Charter School, and is a member of the Customer Quality Initiative Committee and Business Services subcommittee of the Los Angeles Urban League's Pomona WorkSource Business and Career Center.

Husband to Mrs. Regina Jordan-Young, Amos Jackson Young is the proud father of Amos Jr. and Ryan Nathaniel and Step-dad to Adonica and Adam.
