The Murray family has been in the tri-valley area since Michael Murray bought 1500 acres from Juan Amador in 1848. We have watched the valley grow, change and have changed with it. My wife and I, with our three children, have enjoyed Danville as active members of the community.
Danville is a special place because of our focus on raising our kids, our level of community involvement and our focus on quality of life. Stone Valley, where our youngest goes, and Mustang Soccer are both a testament to the special nature of our town. We meet challenges in ways that are effective and developed to meet Danville's specific needs.
I am running for town council to ensure that we retain our special character.
Over the last ten years Traffic has gotten worse and Danville has added over 4,000 homes with little success in providing either road or transit improvements. This must change, intelligent and creative approaches to growth must be developed for Danville.
Local control is critical to protecting Danville, as a special place to live. Danville is not Walnut Creek nor Concord and we should craft our own solutions to Traffic, growth and regulation. Regional cooperation is a good thing, but unaccountable Regional Authority is destructive. I will work to protect our quality of life and ensure local accountability.
