Greg Bedard served as Transportation Counsel to Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher (CA-10) in her California District Office until the summer of 2003. Greg's major focus was working closely with Congresswoman Tauscher to determine the area projects that were the strongest contenders for transportation funding from Congress. While working for Rep. Tauscher, Greg advised and consulted with her as she fought to protect the core BART system as the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority tried to secure an agreement with the agency to expand the line to San Jose. He also worked directly with the Congresswoman to ensure that the Bay Area's Congressional Delegation was united on its priority for federal transportation funding for the BART to SFO extension. Additionally, Greg served as Rep. Tauscher's liaison to various policy advisory committees that focused on BART expansion in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Prior to joining Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher's Office in early 2001, Greg practiced construction defect litigation and tort law as an associate attorney in Walnut Creek, CA.
