Dublin School Bond, Measure C

Yes on Measure C. The Key to Rebuilding Dublin Schools.
I support the $184 million construction bond Measure C. The bond measure is needed to address the facilities needs and growth that the Dublin community is facing. The schools are in need of repairs. Some school buildings are almost 40 years old and are in need of repair, renovation and modernization. This bond Measure C will fix that.

The bond measure will allow the Dublin Unified School District to accomplish 4 main things: 1) Renovate and repair unsafe and deteriorating buildings on current school sites. 2) Become eligible for millions of dollars in state matching funds. 3) Develop state-of-the-art high school facilities. 4) 21st century information technology.

The bond Measure C requires 55% voter approval to win.

The District may use the bond funds only for projects specified on a list provided to the County Registrar of Voters. The funds may not be used to pay administrator or teacher salaries or fund any other projects.

California law requires that an Independent Citizen's Oversight Committee be appointed to oversee project expenditures and that the District provide annual independent financial and performance audits.

The bond Measure C will help to provide our children with the 21st century education they need to succeed by creating safer and modern facilities. Up-to-date educational facilities will help to maintain property values in the Dublin community.
