1. Diversify BART electricity sources for financial stability as well as environmental reasons. 2. Free Parking for City Carshare, with Green Beetles stickers on the BART map to designate at which station shared cars are available. 3. Be able to combine small tickets in the ticket vending machine for one larger ticket. 4. Unify College Avenue and make the dreary, rat-infested area underneath the BART station open, welcome, and bright by ripping out the ivy, painting the area, and adding lighting. 5. To share BART parking lots with business districts when they are not used by daily commuters. 6. Pedestrian Improvements to connect Bay Fair Station to the Bay Fair Mall would benefit both BART and the Mall and make getting between the two safe and pleasant. 7. Late night BART service on the weekends. Regional Measure 2 money is available for late night AC Transit service that parallels the BART routes. To partner with AC Transit to ensure that the service is effective so people using public transportation can stay out past midnight. 8. Cheaper BART! Bigger discounts for frequent riders. 9. An EcoPass - an around town transit pass. 10. Shuttle to Piedmont from the MacArthur/Rockridge Stations. 11. A Transit Village at San Leandro Station, a nicer San Leandro Station, and a pedestrian link leading from BART into downtown San Leandro. 12. An annual stakeholders meeting for members of the community and elected officials. 13. Coordinated doctors' appointments for the physically challenged, to provide more reliable and cost-effective paratransit service. 14. Group discounts for parties travelling between the same 2 stations. 15. To have clearer signage when your BART train pulls into the station and clearer or automatic train announcements. 16. To use the color coding of lines that are on the system map, to make it easier for non-English speaking riders. To have clearer signage as you leave the system. 17. Enforce against single drivers parking in carpool spaces. 18. Start service earlier on Sundays. 8am is too late. 19. The trains are too dirty. 20. To have street level train departure information in city stations, where a few more minutes at street level can be more useful than waiting on the platform. 21. Change the name from Ashby BART to Adeline BART, to reflect the name of the Business District. 22. Have BART participate in the Eco Pass and Class Pass for UC Berkeley employees and students, like SF does with its Fast Pass. 23. Make BART less noisy. |
