Candidate for
Council Member; City of Berkeley; Council District 3

As a member of the Berkeley City Council representing District 3, I will fight for a better quality of life for all residents of South Berkeley, endeavoring to achieve excellence in education, increase the number of living-wage jobs and promote the development of affordable housing options. Additionally, I will work to obtain full police protection and accountability in our community, ensure quick police response, limit the number of liquor stores and prevent drug dealers from using stores and other facilities as a base of operation. I place a strong priority on strengthening our city response to crime. To make sure the City Council is paying closer attention to crime problems, I will advocate for and insist that we create a City Council Public Safety Subcommittee along with increasing the effectiveness of community involved policing.
