Candidate for
Member, Board of Directors; Castro Valley Sanitary District

I am running for office to continue serving the community by establishing appropriate policies to fulfill the District's mission and provide good services for reasonable cost.

I am a 12 year resident in Castro Valley, along with my wife Sandia, and children Darcie and Raymond. I have been a member of the board for 9 years, serving during the negotiations and construction of the LAVWMA and EBMUD pipelines in Castro Valley, construction of the administration building, reinstatement of bulky waste collection service, and initiation of E-Waste collection, Lateral Replacement Grant Program, residential food waste composting, Earth Day celebration, downtown litter cans, and educational workshops for schools within the District. These goals were met and services provided while maintaining some of the most economical fees in California.

I am involved with the PTC at Creekside and Stanton Schools, my childrens' soccer teams, and use my past experience as a coxswain for the UC Berkeley Men's Crew Team to be a volunteer for Row Chabot.
