1. What does California need to do to address the current budget crisis?

Answer from W. "Bill" Mac Aloney:

-Put a cap on spending.

-Open the books.

-Fix workers compensation by making more competitive insurance providers.

-Make more cuts in the budget to reduce bond debt amount.

-Ensure Indian Tribal Casinos pay appropriate revenues from gaming profits.


2. What should the state's priorities be for K-12 education? For the Community College System?

Answer from W. "Bill" Mac Aloney:

K-12

-Prioritize infrastructure repairs for safe/efficient classrooms.

-Divert more lottery money into local control.

-Insist on classrooms of 20:1 ratio. (Students v. Teacher)

Communtiy College

-Help create more technology classes.

-Increase more diverse commercial skills training.

-Better cooperation with manufacturing/services industry on campus, so students can intern while learning for job access.


3. What measures would you support to address California's water needs?

Answer from W. "Bill" Mac Aloney:

-Continued water saving education.

-Tax incentives for efficiency by cities.

-Address urban run-off concerns, that protect our precious Costal regions.


4. What should the Legislature be doing to address the needs of Californians without health insurance?

Answer from W. "Bill" Mac Aloney:

-Provide better education and access of vendors and/or providers in the insurance industry to the public.

-Ask insurance companies to market better to the uninsured, with better packages and options at realistic prices.
