I will work to maintain the current excellent Police and Fire protection for the residents and businesses.
I believe that the residents and businesses are entitled to the very best that can be offered in the area of Public Safety. I intend to work closely, through the City Manager, with the Chiefs of the Police Department and of the Fire Department. My major thrust will be to see that each has the equipment and manpower needed to perform the functions necessary to carry out their responsibilities. My experience as a New York State Trooper and also as a Commander of Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard Security Police Units will enable me to be effective in this area.
